What would you say for a garland with your own personal style? Here we describe an idea that you can make your own.
We took all the christmas die-cuts of Quickutz, that were available and we played with them.
We cut a snowman, a snowflake, a wreath, a Christmas tree, a house-biscuit, christmas balls, a mistletoe.
We assembled the small pieces where there were more, to have the complete shape. Then, we thought of giving something extra to some of our figures.
This was done with heat embossing. For our snowflake, we used silver pigment ink and silver embossing powder. With the heat gun, we soon had the effect we wanted! Advice: leave the ink to dry a little and afterwards throw the powder. You will have results much faster.
Then "we embellished" our tree and our christmas balls. On one ball we glued our mistletoe, on the other one we glued our snowflake, and on the third we stamped a pattern in gold.
In this last case we took a big stamp and used only a part of the pattern. We repeated the previous process for heat embossing, but with golden ink and powder.
Then, we used "masking" and we isolated a fraction of our stamp pattern in order to decorate our tree with silver garland. We covered the part that we did not want with tape, we put ink and then we removed the tape. In this way, only the specific pattern we wanted was stamped on the tree. With silver embossing powder and the heat gun, our tree got a silver shinny garland!
We punched small holes on any of the figures needed and we passed through a red ribbon.
This is a small sample. The garland becomes as long as we want and it may include various figures or the same one in different colours. Experiment and have fun with friends and children who will really enjoy making this ornament.
The figures on their own can embellish beautifully your gift packages. An elegant wrapping is the first good impression of a gift well-thought.
